I had the great pleasure of photographing the tech rehearsal of The Whiting's On The Wall's latest production "Horse Play" at the The Garage Norwich on Friday. It tells the true story, in a funny but very touching way, of Norfolk racehorse Sprowston Boy & female jockey Gay Kelleway who between them rocked the horse racing world in 1987 by winning the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Featured on BBC Look East, the play was written by Katie-anna Whiting, who is the granddaughter of Geoff Whiting, one of the co-owners of Sprowston Boy and is performed by Katie and Florence Wright.
